Student Visas

For details of the application process applicable to your own country, contact your local British High Commission.

Tip:  If you don't have your own national passport, apply for one now.

If you are considering making an application for a Student Visa, make sure you have your own national passport and that it is valid. It may sound obvious, but from experience we have found that it sometimes takes longer to acquire a national passport than it does to obtain a Student Visa. Even if you haven't decided on a course or where to study, you should get your passport organised.

Tip:  Prepare the evidence and documentation you will take to the British High Commission thoroughly.

Make sure the evidence and documentation you are producing to the Entry Clearance Officer is up-to-date and complete. You only get one chance to apply and a decision will be made based on the evidence and documentation supplied. If your application is refused you will need to make an appeal through a UK based appeals process.
