Studying at Act Training
Act Training is located in the centre of Coventry with excellent local transportation links by bus, rail and road.
Students have been successfully achieving their chosen qualifications with us since 1993. The range of courses and the facilities we offer have been expanded over this time and courses specifically aimed at fulfilling the needs of our International students have been running for a number of years. Our students are drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds. International students from a wide range of countries study alongside British nationals of all ages improving their skills, either paying the fees themselves or being sponsored by their employers.
Any International student enrolled with us has unlimited access to our facilities, including free internet access. This is invaluable when trying to keep up with events at home, either by email or by accessing information on distant events through the world wide web.
Working while studying
Students enrolled on full-time courses and on a Student Visa are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during term time and up to 40 hours per week during their vacations, according to the current Home Office regulations. However, please note that when assessing the financial stability of an applicant before granting a Student Visa, an Entry Clearance Officer will not take any possible earnings into account. Therefore, you should look upon any money you could earn as providing for luxuries and not for day-to-day living expenses or to cover course fees.
