Cisco CCNA Part 1 (CCENT)

Designed for:       People who are new to Cisco.

Pre-requisites:     Experience of using one or more: Windows 98/NT/2000/XP/Vista.

Objective:           To give students all the skills needed to be successful in CCNA examinations.

Course Content :

Understanding both OSI and TCP/IP models; Understanding Shared Ethernet, modern Switched networks and surrounding issues; Explore the packet delivery process using network analysers; Use Common Network Applications; Foundation Configuration of both Cisco Switches and Routers; Subnetting both on and off Octet subnet masks; Configure both IP static and Dynamic Routing; Utilising Cisco's SDM to configure the router for both DHCP and NAT; Understanding WAN technologies and enable an Internet Connection; Managing the Cisco IOS file System; Troubleshooting tools (ipconfig, ping, CDP, tracert, show and debug); Understanding and Exploring Wireless (WLAN) Configuration and Security.

  1. Basic:          We supply you with high quality course manuals which you use to study independently.

  2. Classroom:   A four day instructor led training course that has plenty of hands-on labs using real equipment (simulation software is not used)..Each delegate has their own switch and router (equipment is not shared). .Small class size (8 maximum) increases knowledge transfer and understanding. All exam topics are covered by Authorised Cisco Instructors. .No pre-study required. .Continuing course support.

The exams for this programme can be taken at our centre. The cost of sitting these exams is not included in any fees quoted.
