Linux+ Certification

Designed for:      Network support staff, IT Graduates and anyone who wishes to gain an internationally recognised Linux qualification.

Pre-requisites:    At least 6 months of practical experience of using Linux.

Objective:           A CompTIA Linux+ certification is a good indicator of foundational proficiency in everyday management of Linux-based clients and basic management of servers.  The Linux+ Certification program is an industry-wide, vendor-neutral program developed and sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).

Course Content:

Overview of Linux; Installing Linux; Using Linux; User Management and Basic Security; File System Management.

Study Option:

Online:        We supply high quality course materials, consisting of manuals, CDs and online progress testing. Additional support is then provided online. This consists of having access to an online mentor to answer any questions you may have, taking part in live online tutorials with other students logged on from around the country and also having access to virtual labs online where you can practice the skills you have learned by controlling computers remotely.

Taking The Examinations:

The Exams for the
CompTIA programme can be taken at our centre. The cost of sitting the exam is not included in any fees quoted.
