N+ Certification

Designed for:      Network support staff, IT Graduates and anyone who wishes to gain an internationally recognised computer networking qualification.

Pre-requisites:    Knowledge of PC hardware and software. For those without this skill base, we offer a course leading to A+ Certification.

Objective:           To prepare students for the CompTIA N+ Certification Examination. (See below). The Network+ Certification program is an industry-wide, vendor-neutral program developed and sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).

·         Networking Fundamentals; Physical Links and Interfaces; Network Protocols and Devices; LAN Technologies; WAN Technologies; Fundamentals of TCP/IP; TCP/IP Applications; Network Operating Systems and Applications; Microsoft Windows Networking; UNIX Networking; Netware Networking; Macintosh Networking; Network Administration; Network Troubleshooting.

Study Options:

1. Basic:          We supply high quality course manuals. Then you’re on your own.

2. Popular:      We supply high quality course materials, consisting of manuals, CDs and online progress testing. We then provide additional support. We provide the student with the necessary hardware and software to carry out the exercises built into the course materials. This is done through a series of supervised lab sessions at our centre, which can be arranged at times to suit the student.

3. Online:        We supply high quality course materials, consisting of manuals, CDs and online progress testing. Additional support is then provided online. This consists of having access to an online mentor to answer any questions you may have, taking part in live online tutorials with other students logged on from around the country and also having access to virtual labs online where you can practice the skills you have learned by controlling computers remotely.

Taking The Examinations:

The exam for the CompTIA programme can be taken at our centre. The cost of sitting this exam is not included in any fees quoted.
