Security+ Certification
Designed for: Network support staff, IT Graduates and anyone who wishes to gain an internationally recognised computer security.
Pre-requisites: At least 2 years experience of networking or the equivalent knowkedge.
Objective: To prepare students for the CompTIA Security+ Certification Examination. (See below). The Security + Certification program is an industry-wide, vendor-neutral program developed and sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).
Course Content
Security Foundations; Attacks and Malicious Code; Scanning and Intrusion Detection; Network Devices and SNMP; Firewalls. NAT and Proxy; Network and Operating System Hardening; Encryption; RAS and Remote Administration;; Access Control; Web and FTP Services; E=mail and LDAP; Operational and Organisational Security.

Basic: We supply high quality course manuals. Then you’re on your own.

Online: We supply high quality course materials, consisting of manuals, CDs and online progress testing. Additional support is then provided online. This consists of having access to an online mentor to answer any questions you may have, taking part in live online tutorials with other students logged on from around the country and also having access to virtual labs online where you can practice the skills you have learned by controlling computers remotely.
Taking The
Examinations:
The Exams for the
CompTIA programme can be taken
at our centre. The cost of sitting these exams is not included in any fees
quoted.
